(R)= By request
Some spacey stuff to start:
01. Spirit - Ice
02. Fifty-Foot Hose - Fantasy
03. Country Joe & The Fish - Section 43
A few for the upcoming season:
04. Arlo Guthrie - The Pause Of Mr. Claus
05. Martin Mull - Santa Don't Cop Out On Dope
06. Leon Russell - Slipping Into Christmas
07. Roy Buchanan - Down By The River (R)
08. Neil Young - Cowgirl In The Sand (Fillmore 1970)
09. Sweetwater - My Crystal Spider (R)
10. Jefferson Airplane - Embryonic Journey (R)
11. The Doors - Hyacinth House (R)
12. Bob Dylan - From A Buick 6 (R)
In tribute to German avant-garde classical composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, who had been cited as an influence by many progressive jazz and rock musicians. Classically trained former Grateful Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten had studied under him. Stockhausen passed away on December 5, 2007 at age 79.
13. Grateful Dead - That's It For The Other One
14. Stockhausen - Zyklus (Cycle) for one percussionist
(1959 - performed by Christoph Caskel)
15. Grateful Dead - New Potato Caboose
16. Renaissance - Carpet Of The Sun (R)
That was it for today! I'll be back next Tuesday the 18th with Joe Barnaby, one of our generous contributors from last years fundraiser, guest hosting the show.
Thanks for listening!
