August 14 Playlist w/ Host Bob Dubrow and Guests Madelyn, Nathan, and Eleyna Dubrow

Once a year, during the heat of the summer, I bring my kids down to the station to become a part of the on-air adventure. It was more of a challenge today, as I had a change of heart late in the game and decided to include 2-year old Eleyna in our radio "improvisations." I have to say the dynamic was not exemplary...Madelyn, age 10, an unfazed performer on mic in this her third go-round, just couldn't seem to leave "well enough alone" when it came to her younger sister. And 7-year old Nate, the budding entemologist, was his usual taciturn self...he put up a fight beforehand, got very excited (exhibited by hand and arm spasticity, his trademark symptom) when the show began, and then pretty much clammed up despite my best attempts to draw him out. As for Eleyna...well, let's say that given the chance by her siblings she would have stolen the whole show. At age 2. Yeesh.

Needless to say I love these three beings. They'll be back next summer for sure.
