Another fun show, Alex.
I thought of a few requests while the show was on, but couldn't call in during the show, but then you played them anyway: Not Guilty, A Legal Matter, and Court of Love. So, thank you for playing my requests, whether you knew it or not!
Regarding the various versions of "Here Comes the Judge"...did you know that the one you didn't play (Shorty Long's version) had a sequel? I was hoping you would play or at least mention it. It was called "Judge Baby, I'm Back" and it was by Cliff Nobles. It was the flip side of Nobles' 45 "Horse Fever" released about September 1968, the follow-up 45 to his big hit "The Horse". Remember the lyrics to Shorty Long's song? The Judge sentences the defendant to serve time for not knowing various dances (or something like that!). In this sequel by Cliff Nobles the guy is back and tells the Judge that he's learned all the dances. Different writers, production, and label but the song is clearly meant to be an answer/sequel to Shorty Long's hit.
You must have that 45. Perhaps you can find a way to work it into some theme in a future show. Also, if you have ever played it, you will have heard that just like some other 45's on that label (Phil L.A. of Soul) the instrumental side (in this case "Horse Fever") is the instrumental track to the vocal side (in this case "Judge Baby, I'm Back"). In fact, on this 45 if you listen closely to "Horse Fever" you can hear the sort of echo of the vocal track still audible, not completely mixed out.

Keep up the great work, Alex!
