Jonathan Edwards, Danny Kalb, and Jerry Jeff Walker interviewed Tuesday, 8/9!

Three legends of roots-rock were interviewed by host Eli Polonsky on Tuesday, August 9!



At 12:20 PM:
Folk-rock singer/songwriter Jonathan Edwards released his first solo album, including the Billboard #4 hit "Sunshine", in 1971, and has since released over 15 albums spanning folk-rock, country-rock and bluegrass styles. Jonathan and his trio performed a benefit concert for the Frank Withey Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, MA on Thursday, August 18. Click here for more info.

At 1:00 PM:
Folk-rock-blues guitarist Danny Kalb began performing with Dave Van Ronk in Greenwich Village, played on albums by Judy Collins, Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan, and co-founded the band The Blues Project in 1965. Danny made a rare area appearance at Johnny D's in Somerville, MA with the Paul Speidel Band on Friday, August 12.

At 1:40 PM:
Country-rock legend Jerry Jeff Walker has been performing for over 45 years and wrote the often-covered folk/pop standard "Mr. Bojangles" in 1968. He became one of the pioneers of the Texas "outlaw country" scene in the '70s, and has released over two dozen albums. Jerry Jeff performed at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA Saturday, August 13 at 2 PM.
