LARRY MILLER SITTING IN FOR CHRISTOPHER VYCE.

TODAY, FEATURING THOSE LONG CUTS THAT COULD ONLY BE HEARD ON FM UNDERGROUND RADIO DURING THE SUMMER OF LOVE. MORE OR LESS...

Bob Dylan: “Visions of Johanna”
Van Morrison: “T B Sheets” (from “Blowing Your Mind”- 1st solo album)

Creedence Clearwater Revival: “Susie Q” (1st album- original unedited long version)
Rolling Stones: “Going Home” (from “Aftermath”)

Pink Floyd: “Set the Controls For The Heart Of The Sun” ( Slight oops: from “A Saucerful of Secrets”- actually the second
album, from 1968- pretty much post-Syd Barrett track.)
Jimi Hendrix: “Third Stone From The Sun” (From first album)
King Crimson: “21st Century Schizoid Man” (Another slip of the space-time continuum: this was released in 1969)

Jim and Jean: “Crucifiction” (from the album “Changes”- song written by Phil Ochs)
Tim Buckley: “Hello and Goodbye” (title track of that album.)

Paul Butterfield Blues Band: “East-West” (Raga/rock/blues fusion- 2nd album )
Blue Project: “Two Trains Running” (Featuring Danny Kalb on vocals and lead guitar)

Buffalo Springfield: “Bluebird” ( The long version; only released in the 70’s on a double “best of” vinyl album. This does not appear on any CD compilation mostly because Stills and Young hate it. I’m not all that fond of it myself.)

Hope you all enjoyed the show. See you again next Tuesday, when we’ll revisit the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco and see who played there during the Summer of Love.

Stay cool!
